IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND coMPosrTroN (crRC) TOWARDS READTNG COMPREHENSTON DEVELOPMENT AMONG JUNIOR HIGII SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABSTRACT The researcher raised CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning strategy as the title for the study that will be investigated. This study was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Parongpong, Bandung in order to seek answer toward the following question, “Is there any significant different in students reading comprehension after using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning strategy”. The respondents derived from class 8a and 8b, each class consist of 74 students. UAN SMP 2009/2010 is used in this research as the instrument of pre-test and post-test. As the result of this study, it can be conclude that there is a significant difference that occurs between using Cooperative Integrated reading and Composition (CIRC) learning strategy and conventional method in students reading comprehension improvement.
