COMPARISON ANALYSIS OF SYNTACTICAL ERRORS BETWEEN PUBLIC SCHOOL AND PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract This research is entitled” Comparison Analysis Syntactical Error Between Public School and Private School Students. The participants involved in this study were 30 students in grades XI of SMA N I Parongpong, SMA N I Cisarua, SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung and SMA Advent I Bandung. This study was to find to know how far the students have mastered syntactical as shown in their works and to compare if there is significant between public and private school students, and to see the errors. This research was divided into three steps: Giving a syntactical test in public and private school, compare the score by using statistical treatment and analyze the errors. The data were collected through syntactical test. At the end of the study, the researcher found the data from questionnaire shows there is no significant different syntactical error between public and private school students. The mostly syntactical error in public and private is irregular verb, subject verb agreement and recogntion of Tenses. Keyword: Syntactical Error, Error Analysis, Public and Private School
