ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF UNDERSTANDING MEMBERS OF SEVENT DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH OF THE CIRACAS CONGREGATION, ABOUT THE EXPRESSION OF "THE SHEPHERD WHO SHEPHERD THEMSELF" BASED ON EZEKIEL 34: 2 Name: Edo Fra Advent Tarigan NIM: 1511002 In this study, the author examines the understanding of shepherds who shepherd themselves based on Ezekiel 34: 2. The author focused his research on Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ciracas Jakarta. This research is based on three main indicators, namely; self-pastoral shepherd based on his responsibility to Ezekiel 34, the shepherd who pastures himself based on the Bible, the condition of the shepherd who pastures himself is this age. There are some who do not understand correctly the purpose of the shepherd who grazes himself, so that it is necessary to be given understanding This research is divided into two parts, namely theoretical research and field research. The results of the research theory about shepherds who are selfpastoring based on Ezekiel 34: 2 are divided into three parts; first, that based on the responsibility given to the pastor, it can be seen that the shepherd who pastors himself does not carry out his responsibilities properly. Second, pastors who selfpastor are based on the Bible, that they are only concerned with themselves and they are not worthy of being called a shepherd but only a hired hand. And the third conditions of the shepherd who shepherd themselves at this time also they only do their shepherding for the purpose of self-profit without thinking about the salvation of the sheep or members. The results of field research conducted through questionnaires were shared with members of the GMAHK church member Ciracas Jakarta congregation which produced a data that the most of respondent understood pastors who pastored themselves when viewed from their responsibilities and biblical views even when viewed from their current condition which was only thinking of themselves itself but not to his sheep or members.
