FACTORS AFFECTING STUDENTS' SLOW PROGRESS IN LEARNING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

ABSTRACT This research entitled "Factors That Affect Students, Slow progress in Learning English as a Foreign Ianguage', The data were collected through questionnaire. The data were sorted out and classified according to their relevancy to answer to research problem. This study involved three classes; grade x of middle school students in SMANI cisarua Band,ng Barat with the total of 62 students. SMA Santa Maria Cimahi, Bandung with the total of 60 students. SMA Kristen 3 BPK Penabw cimindi, Bandung with the total of 60 students. From this study it was found that; there are three factors that have sipificant relationship between students' slow progress in learning English and determinants. psychological factors 0,000, social environment factors 0,002, and physical factors the alpha value 0,022.
