ABSTRACT WEB-BASED EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE SYSTEM DESIGN OF INDONESIA PUBLISHING HOUSE USING FINGERPRINT Edwardo Sadabasa NIM: 1182012 The absence of one or more employees in a company had impacted on the overall productivity of the company. Attendance management in Indonesia Publishing House relied on punch cards that do not have good attendance verification capabilities; Employees could easily commit fraud and the resulting data is also inaccurate and prone to human error. The attendance system is built using fingerprint with the purpose of (1) attendance data could be stored accurately and efficiently and (2) attendance data processing and report generation can be done automatically by the system without the need for manual calculations to reduce the risk of human error. The system uses a fingerprint machines that identify and store the fingerprint data of employees. For report processing the system used a web-based application and a database. Fingerprint machine will store data in the form of Attendance Log, which then the application would pull the Attendance Log from the fingerprint machine to get processed into employee attendance data.
