ABSTRACT THE SYSTEM DESIGN OF CLASS NOTIFICATION FOR STUDENTS BASED ON SMS GATEWAY IN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA ORDENIATI SITUMORANG NIM : 1182027 The world of information technology is developing rapidly. One of technology that is being developed at this time is a telecommunications technology that uses mobile phones. These developments have broad impact on all sectors, including in the field of education. With reference to the campus information services, Adventist University of Indonesia would like to have an application that can function as a facilitator based Short Message Service to support the attainment of the objectives of information quickly and accurately. The purpose of this research are 3 : 1) Replace the existing notification manually at Adventist University of Indonesia into the system SMS gateway. 2) Facilitate lecturers can convey information quickly and accurately to students who follow the course. 3) If there is no class, then the students will be easier to get information from the lecturer quickly. The methodologies that have been used in this writing are the method of data collection and the development of systens using the State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) as system modeling tools. This application is expected to assist students in getting the latest information services quickly and also the staff of lecturers can convey information to students on an obstacle in teaching in the classroom.
