ABSTRACT "ANALYSIS OF GMAHK MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH UNDERSTANDING ON CLEAN AND UNCLEAN FOODS BASED ON COLOSSIANS 2: 16, 17 IN BUSINESS OUTREACH" Wahyu Budiyanto 1411019 Research on "Analysis of GMAHK Mount Carmel Church Understanding on Clean and Unclean Foods Based on Light Colossians 2: 16, 17 In Business Outreach" It is very relevant to be addressed in this Mount Carmel congregation. There has been a lack of understanding in this congregation of the truth found in Colossians 2: 16, 17. In Colossians 2: 16, 17 it is mentioned about food and drink which is a delusion of Christ. Many people associate this verse with the law of clean and unclean food contained in Leviticus 11, they use this verse to support their opinion that the law of clean and unclean food has been abolished. But in fact this verse has nothing to do with Leviticus 11, because the law of clean and unclean foods did not represent Jesus. The food and drink of Colossians 2:16, 17 are the foods and drinks discussed in Leviticus 23: 4-37 in the form of burnt offerings from animals, flour morsels, wine offerings, and casualties from crops and others. The food and drink are discussed in Hebrews 9: 9, 10 which describes the ministry of Christ on the cross (Hebrews 10: 1- 8; 13: 11-13). So this study has five research variables: (1) The meaning of food and drink in Col. 2: 16, 17. (2) The meaning of food and drink just as a shadow. (3) The answer to whether the clean and unclean food laws listed in Leviticus 11: 1-47 still apply in New Testament times. (4) Correct understanding in explaining the law of halal and haram food in the light of Colossians 2: 16, 17 to Christians who believe that the law concerning food and drink has been abolished. (5) The level of understanding of GMAHK Mount Carmel's congregation on how to provide an explanation of the law of halal and haram food to Christians who believe that food and drink laws have been abolished. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 30 members of the congregation at the GMAHK Mount Carmel, on the basis of the interviews were suspected of having a poor understanding of Colossians 2:16, 17. Based on the congregational research analysis, P1, P5, P7, P8, P10, P11, P18 disagree P3, P4, P19, while the mean value of P1-P21 is 3. 67. It can be concluded that the level of understanding of the Mount Carmel congregation is moderate. Keywords: Clean and Unclean Law, Shadow, Outreach.
