ABSTRACT THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS ON THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE TERM “THE LORD REPENTED” BASED ON AMOS 7:3 ON TANI MULIA AND BUKIT ZAITUN SDA CHURCHES BANDUNG Lipopono Fiersen Sianipar NIM: 1111008 In this study, the author examine the interpretation of the term “The LORD repented” based on Amos 7:3 on Tani Mulia and Bukit Zaitun SDA Church. The research is based on three main indicators, namely: reason The Lord repented and it divided into two parts which are by the mercy and by prayer, understanding of The LORD repented and human understanding of repented. This study is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical research and field research. The results of the study produced theory that some of the theologian have two reasons for The LORD repented, which are by mercy and by prayer. In the study on understanding of The LORD repented author found that the theologian understanding are The LORD repented not because the mistake, failure and not because GOD is changing but because of mercy and prayer which the author agree on. Author produced a conclusion The LORD is omniscient. In the study on understanding of human repented the author found that human repented because of sin, mistake, failure and changing. Author concluded the different between The LORD repented and human repented. The results of field research conducted by distributing questionnaires to the members of Tani Mulia and Bukit Zaitu SDA Church, Bandung. Author found that the churches understanding on The LORD repented is The LORD repented because of mercy, and it happened also because of the grace of God. About the understanding of human repented author found that the churches understand well on that. Thus, the purpose is to examine the understanding of the church member understanding on term The LORD repented in Amos 7:3. Keywords : The LORD repented; Human repented; Mercy.
