ABSTRACT THE UNDERSTANDING OF FILADELFIA SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH BALIKPAPAN OF THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST THAT IS NOT KNOWN BY THE SON BASED ON MATTHEW 24:36 AND MARK 13:32 Biston Andi Pranata NIM: 1111014 In this research, the author examines the understanding of the second coming of Jesus Christ that is not Known by the Son, which implies that Jesus himself did not know the day of His coming based on Matthew 23:36 and Mark 13:32. The author does the research at the Filadelfia Seventh-day Adventists Church, Balikpapan in East Kalimantan Province. This Research has three main indicators; Meaning of words of Jesus from Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32, Jesus fatherhood, and theology concepts about Jesus’ omniscient. Often the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:36 implicit and Mark 13:32 serve to undermine the Christian faith who believe that Jesus is God. This study is divided into two parts, namely the study of the theory and field research. The results of theoretical research on the nescience of Jesus about His Jesus second coming based on Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32, is divided into three parts: first, the meaning of words of Jesus from Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32, explains that the coming of Jesus is a divine secret unknown to man, angels and even Jesus; Second, the Fatherhood of Jesus, the divine and human Jesus did not separate and Jesus still is God incarnate; Third, the concept of the omniscient theology of Jesus, when Jesus was alive in the world the divine omniscience can function in the person of Jesus, but only for the sake of a rescue mission, if not, it will not work in the person of Jesus who have voluntarily emptied Himself to become a man. The results of field research: First, about the meaning of Jesus’ words that is implicit in Matthew 24:36 and Mark 12:32, seen from the statement number 1 and 2, it is found that the Filadelfia Church members are still in doubt, whether when Jesus lived in this world, He really did not know the day of His coming. And the Filadelfia Church members are still in doubt whether it is true that man does not need to speculate about the coming of Jesus. Secondly, about the Divinity of Jesus, seen from the statement number 6,8,9,10,11 it is found that the Filadelfia Church members believe that Jesus is God, but seen from the statement number 7, the church is still in doubt, whether it is true that Jesus is not created. Third, the concept of Jesus' Omniscience theology, seen from the statement number 15, it is found that the Filadelfia Church members are still in doubt about the statement “Jesus knew, by not knowing the day of His coming is important for humans.” the Filadelfia church members are still in doubt.
