EFEK DAUN AFRIKA (Vernonia amygdalina) YANG DIKONSUMSI BERSAMAAN DENGAN GLUKOSA TERHADAP PROFIL HIPERGLIKEMI POSTPRANDIAL PADA SUBYEK NORMOGLIKEMI
XMLEFFECT OF AFRICAN LEAF (Vernonia amygdalina) CONSUMED TOGETHER WITH GLUCOSE TO POSPRANDIAL HYPERGLYCEME PROFILE IN NORMOGLICEMIC SUBJECTS Julias Pinem Prof. Dr. Albert. M. Hutapea Sundari Siregar S.Si Chania Mentari S.Si ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is groups caused by many factors, where they cannot be used for insulin produced by the pancreas or the pancreas can not produce enough insulin to run the level of glucose in the blood. African leaves (Vernonia amygdalina) are traditional plants that have been widely used for various diseases such as; diabetes, hypertension, cancer, malaria, gout, diarrhea, cough and others. The content of African leaves adds nutrients and the flavonoids contained have the ability to strengthen insulin secretion. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Vernonia amygdalina which can be used well against the posprandial hyperglycemia profile in normoglycemic subjects. The research method used an oral glucose tolerance test method with photolinitas intake of 1.75 gr / kg bw to a maximum of 75 gam. The administration of 3 grams of African leaf powder was carried out together with 75 grams of glucose powder. Sampling in this study was purposive sampling with a total of 30 research respondents who were sex (male) with an average body average (62.9 ± 8.81), high (162.2 ± 7.71), days (20, 5 ± 1.85), blood systole (118.6 ± 12.4) and normal average body mass index. The mean blood glucose level was (90.8 ± 10.31 mg / dL), at 30 minutes (158.6 ± 37.21 mg / dL), at minute 60 (146.7 ± 21.00 mg / dL ), in the 90th minute (131.5 ± 17.90 mg / dL), in the 120th minute (116, 1 ± 11.41 mg / dL). The mean blood glucose levels were (91.9 ± 11.90), at 30 minutes (141.7 ± 12.25), in the 60th minute (127.4 ± 9.64), at 90 minutes (112, 1 ± 9.37), and in the 120th minute (98.8 ± 10.86). The farmer group will be compared with the control group. Stabilize blood at 30,60,90 and 120 minutes. The results showed the effect of 3 grams of African leaf powder (Vernonia amygdalina) which can be consumed with 75 grams of powder at 30,60,90 and 120 minutes on the hyperglycemic profile in normoglycemic subjects. Keywords: African leaves, glucose, hyperglycemia, posprandial, normoglycemi.
