ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF INTRMITTENT BREAK UP WALK ON FOOT TO THE SYSTOLIC PRESSURE ANKLE, SYSTOLIC PRESSURE BRACHIAL, ANKLE-BRACHIALINDEX AND HEART RATE IN NORMOTENSIVE SUBJECTS DURING PROLONGED SITTING Prolonged sitting can increase the risk of obstruction of the blood sirculation in the lower limbs. One of physical activities that can do intermittent physical activity during prolonged sitting that is walking. Walking is useful to prevent disease risk factors that hamper the blood circulation in the lower limbs and decreased heart rate variability. Study partisipants were divided into 2 groups: treatment based on walking 3 minutes (total 1 times break walking + sitting down 27 minutes = 30 minutes) and the control group (sitting down for 30 minutes) were performed for 300 minutes in each experiment. Profile of blood presure changes in arms and lower extremities are recorded in all minutes 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240, and 300. T-test has used to compared mean values between treatment group and the control group. From analysis of the data obtained in this study indicate that there was significant change with p ≤ α = 0,05 value in systolic pressure of the ankle with p value = 0,021, systolic pressure of the brachial with p value = 0,049, and heart rate with p value = 0,000, while on ankle-brachial index no have significant change with p value = 0,867. Keywords: systolic pressure ankle, systolic pressure brachial, ankle-brachial index, heart rate, normotensive
