ABSTRACT The rise of crime today due to lack of funds to make our daily life must always be on guard. Thus, home security is a matter of great importance to the entire community. In this study it is elaborated the design of the room security detector system using sensor Passive Infrared (PIR) based on microcontroller 16F877A that is programmed in C language. The system is connected with GSM modem that functions as a server. Data applied to GSM modem in serial. The results show the system can work automatically to send an alert if there is danger to the homeowner in the form of specific text format in the form of SMS.
