ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF THE USE OF INTERNET ON LEARNING ACHIEYEMENT OF CI,ASSXtr IN CIMIIIDIADVENTIST HIGH SCHOOLINBANDUNG by: Tardas Nain8golan The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a sipificant influence of the use of intemet on student achieve.ment in Class )CI Cimindi Adventist High School in Bandung. The method used in the writing of this thesis is a descriptive method. The mllection of data is obtained from the questiomaires and data fiom fl1g scfool adminifiation. The sem es were taken by the saturated samples method. The validity and reliability of the result of the questionnairc and study achievement data were test€d. The processing ofdaa was performed using SPSS 17 version by testing the hypottresis of correldion witl testing the correlation coefficient analysis using Pearson's formul4 the analysis of determination. Based on the analysis of the correlation coefficient (r) vhich is equal to 0.129 which indicates that there is a positive correlation, meaning it was found that the influence of internet on student achievement in Class )(II Cimindi Adventist High School in Bandung is very low. And the coefficient of determination is 0.017. This means that the effect of the use of Internet on learning achievement is only 1.7%o, and the balance is 98.3% which is influenced by other factors.
