ABSTRACT SMS INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN ON PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT AT ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA WEB BASED USING SMS GATEWAY TECHNOLOGY Setyanto Anggara Putra NIM: 1181030 With a base computerized development of information system to the procurement department they use PHP, so that required internet or an intranet connection to search for information such as purchase request approval, purchase order approval, and stocks in a warehouse information. So it needs an application with the technology of SMS gateway to solving the problem. The goal of this research (1) is helping the procurement’s worker from Adventist University of Indonesia performing data processing through the phone. (2) for workers all over departments and head of the departments from Adventist University of Indonesia able to use the SMS facilities as the source of the information system from procurement department. (3) in order to remind the user who has approval previlage that have not forgotten to make accession. Methods used in this research is library research and field research. Where library research is to collect the theories that support of writing and field research to get information directly from the department concerned to design applications. This system would be useful for the development of procurement information systems for adventist university of indonesia departments especially procurement department. Writer hope that they also develop more better than what has been writer do. Keyword: UML, SMS Gateway, PHP, Procurement, Handphone, SMS System.
