PENGARUH CAMPURAN EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN dan AKAR JOMBANG (Taruxacum officinale TERHADAP PENURUNAN BERAT BADAN dan KADAR KOLESTEROL DARAH TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN (Raffus norvegicus)

ABSTRACT Coronary heart disease is a disease that rank as the first death in developing countries, caused by the development pattem of modem lifestyles. Therefore we have performed research on plant Jombang (faraxacum officinale Weber) which contains pectin (fiiber), which is useful for lowering blood cholesterol in male rats (Rattus norvegicus) fed a high cholesterol diet. Twelve male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) were divided into four groups randomly. A control group was fed a high cholesterol diet for 10 days. Groups B, C and D were fed hrgh cholesterol for 10 days, and given a mixture of ethanol extract of the leaves and roots with a dose 2omg/kgBB handsome, 60mg/kgBB, and 10omg/kgBB. Treatment was given for seven days and blood sampling canied out day to 10, to ,11, to 13, to 15, and 17. Descriptively, it was found that the three doses used to show the effect of cholesterol reduction and weight loss. wilh the results of group B can lower cholesterol as much as 5.14 mg / dl, group C lowering as much as 38 mg / dl, and group O as much as 12 mg I dl, while group B reduce weight as much as 4-6 grams, 16.6 grams of group C and group D as much as 15 gr. However, because of lack of data, the 3x4x6 factorial ANOVA statistical resufts of the study was not significant.
