ABSTRACT Progress on the current information technology continues to grow in line with the necds ofpeople who want the ease, speed, and accuracy in obtaining information. Therefore, advances in information technology should be continued effort and improved quality and quantity. One of the advances in information technology in UNAI is a wireless network that is provided in each dormitory who was in UNAI. The need for the lntemet for students iJNAI make a writer want to make a research on the quality of wireless networks located in the dormitory. The author uses wavemon software that runs on operating system Ubuntu in helping to research the quality of wireless network in the dorms. The author also went into the room in every dorm to conduct research with different weather conditions are sunny and rainy. And parameters used by the author is the link quality, sigral level, noise level and signal to noise ration. From the result ofresearch conducted in every dorm room at Adventist University of lndonesi4 the author find that the room number 230 on 2d floor nurses hostel has the best signal. And the writer ofthe overall data collected, the author obtain a conclusion that states there are differences in the quality of wireless networks on sunny and rainy weather conditions and also in room overlooking an access point with antenna sectoral waveguide is know that rooms are located on the 1$ floor get worse signal than rooms located on floors 2 and 3. Based on above conclusions, the suggestions that author can give is rcsearching each access point to get position and angle of the most good.
