ANALISIS TEOLOGIS “KEMBALI MENJADI TANAH” BERDASARKAN PENGKHOTBAH 12:7 DALAM PROSES PEMBAKARAN MAYAT DI JEMAAT PAKUSARAKAN BANDUNG
XMLABSTRACT THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF “THE DUST RETURN TO THE EARTH” BASED ON ECCLESIASTES 12:7 IN THE PROCESS OF CREMATION IN PAKUSARAKAN CHURCH BANDUNG Emerson Nainggolan NIM: 1211008 This study examines the understanding of "returns to the ground" based on Ecclesiastes 12: 7 in the process of cremation. The researcher also surveyed the understanding of the member of Pakusarakan Church, Bandung, about cremation. Do the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church may perform cremation or not, and an understanding of the "spirit" that returns to God. Through the research literature on the three indicators discussed were: Is the meaning of returns to the ground is an end result? Does the Cremation are allowed, especially for Adventists? What does the word meaning of "spirit" that returns to God and how the Pakusarakan church views about cremation action. The results of the study questionnaires were distributed, the researchers obtained data, that the meaning of returns to the ground is an end result of human life. Humans have become dust is still in whole body shaped when not have the breath of life. The Cremation are allowed if it does not have a wrong understanding. The spirit that returns to God is the breath of life that has been made dust that God made it into living creatures (humans). Pakusarakan congregation had a good view of the action cremation. Statements that answered with doubtful seemingly also the statement of reasons of did not allow the actions of cremation because they do not know the habit or culture of the Hebrews. On the results of these studies, the authors concluded that Pakusarakan church members have a good understanding in connection with the cremation action.
