ABSTRACT TIIE ROLE OF OPERATIONAL AUDTTING IN ATTEMPT TO SURPRESS THE LEVEL OF PRODUCT DEFECTS By, David Julianto Simbolon The rcsearch that was done in PT Bondor Indonesi4 an industry that is engaged in isulated panel industy was to know the operastional auditing that was done, the causing factor of product defects and the operational auditing,s role in suppressing the level of product defects. The method that was used in this research is the descriptive method, where the data is collected based on the real situation or condition ofthe company. In the collection of the data there were twotypesof .leta, namely primary and secondary dat& From this research it can be seen that the operational auditing conducted by PT Bondor Indonesia has been going well, while the steps being taken are the preliminary audit, audit planning, audit, report audit findings, follow-up. Also examination stages were done in the production process performed in pT Bondor IndonesiaThe company's effort in suppressing the defect rate of products is monitoring the equality of inputs, company quality standards, production processes. and product design. Based on t1s analysis of the correlation coefficient (G) is equal to 0.62 which indicates that the relationship of operational audits in an effort to reduce the defect lu,te of products is strong.
