ABSTRACT TI{E RELATION BETWEEN TIIE CHANGE OF SALES AND SALES VOLUME AT PT. DAYA SEMPURNA CELLULOSATAMA By: Mey Christy Hutagalung a The purpose of this research is to understand more about the change of sales and the sales volume, and also to know the relation between the change of sales and the sales volume. The method that is used in this research is Descriptive Method, wherc data were collected, analyzed, and finally concluded. The technique to collect the data used though interviews and direct sampling. Then data were anal)'zed statically using correlation coefficient analysis,significant test and determination coefficient analysis in Pearson Product Moment. The change of sales of the company occurred every montll 16i5 thing caused by the change of the cost of the main raw material that is purchased. The highest change oi sales of medium linier product was on October on May 5,01% and the lowest percentage is on November that is 0,17%. The change of sates volume also occurred aver,v morttr The highest sales volume for medium linier product occurred on Mei 2.593.793 kg and the lowest was on September that is 882.486 kg. Based on the results of statistical analysis of Pearson Product Moment using the formula of Correlation Coefficient, found that t -- 0,49%o. means that there are a very medium and positive relation between the change of sales and the sales volume. And bas€d on the hypothesis test it is found thdt tssvng= I,686 and t661s= 2.262 with c=0,05 and n-2 means we reject Ho' in another word there are a non significant and very low relation between the change of sales and the change of sales volume.
