AASTRACT COST MANAGEMENT PROMOTION EFFECT OF RESULTS SALES IN PT. MATAHARI PUTRA PRIMA By: i{erchy Situmorang This snrdy aims to determine how the management of the costs of advertising the sale and promotion costs to inlluence the management of the sale of the PT. Matahari Putra Prima (hypermart). This research method is descriptive, where data obtained by collecting, analTzing, presenting, data and provides an overview of the research object to produce a conclusion. Data collected through interviews and written records or documents obtained fiom the company. Then the data is processed and analyzed using analysis of Pearson product moment correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination analysis, and hy'pothesis testing. Based on this research, promotional activities carried out through catalogs, ne\xspapers, leaflets (flyers). Costs incurred for the three media in 2008 was Rp. 866,600,000, 2009 was Rp. 957,250,000, in 2010 amounted to Rp. 880,400,300. In 2011 was Rp. 881,751.200 and in 2012 was Rp. 980.925.000. Sales revenue in 2008 was Rp. 147,751,891,012, 2009 was Rp Rp 155,495,896,684 and 2010.
