ABSTRACT DESIGN SYSTEM APPLICATION IDENTIFICATION OF GOLDFISH TYPE USING FORWARD CHAINING METHOD BASED ANDROID ANDRE RENALDY SIHOMBING NIM: 1481009 Goldfish are popular with ornamental fish enthusiasts in education and the general public. In Indonesia, there are several popular types of goldfish that are often kept by people. As a layman sometimes still confused distinguish the type of goldfish in the meet. The name of the type of goldfish in a region is usually different from the name of the other area although from the same type of goldfish. This makes it difficult for fellow lovers of goldfish or fish farmers who deal with the goldfish as a business in the world of ornamental fish. It requires a goldfish expert who is experienced in identifying the type of goldfish . Whereas the number of expert goldfish is very little, so difficult to find at any time. Solutions are offered by designing expert system applications that can identify the type of goldfish based on android that can identify the type of fish based on body shape, tail, eyes, head and color of the fish. This research uses System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method as application design method, and identification method using forward chaining. The conclusion of this research is the identification application of the goldfish type of to help the goldfish lover in searching for the type of goldfish correctly. The created application yielded 87.5% accuracy with a system inaccuracy of 12.5%. The suggestion of this research is expected this application can be made and used by using image recognizer in goldfish so this application can be more easily used by lovers of goldfish in identifying a type of goldfish of the desired in the future.
