"SQ6R METHOD and READING COMPREHENSION DEVELOPMENT AMONG GRADE TEN STTUDENTS"
XMLThis snrdy entitled "SQ6R (Suwey, Que*ion, Read, Record, Recitg Review, Reflect and Reshape) Method and Reading Comprehension Development amoog Grade Ten Students". SQ6R implemented to SMAN to see whether there is a development in the achievement of the shrdenls. The participants involved in this study were grade trn studf[ts of SMAN I school Parongpong Ba.ndung. The researcher gave a pre'test afld a post'test and the data mllected is analyzed by using t-test. tlo = the students' reading comprehension does not improve after using SQ6R study method Hr : the students' reading comprehension improved after using SQ6R study method The research showed that the participants' lgading comprehensioD were improved though SQ6R study method and the score garned by participatrts showed that there was a siCnificant diference through SQ6R The pre-test mean scor€ was 52.11 and post-test 58.3?. The improvements showed that the mean difference between pretest and post-test is 6.26, the L.,-t"a = 1.749 > t u" : 1.675 with significance level at 0.05 and the degree of freedom is 52 (df : N-1). The studenb' responses toward the post-test giveo stud€nts' prove thd SQ6R method is an effective to improve students' reading cornprehension ability
