THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF CLOTHES FOR WOMEN IN THE CHURCH BASED ON 1 TIMOTHY 2: 9-10 IN THE GMAHK CHURCH BOGOR Yosep Surahman Situmeang NIM: 1411017 In this study the author tries to examine the use of clothing which is suitable for use by women in the Church based on the principle in 1 Timothy 2: 9-10 in the Bogor congregation. Simply put, this study is based on four indicators of discussion, namely: Definition of dressing with modesty 1 Timothy 2:9; The notion of dressing with shamefacedness according to 1 Timothy 2:9; The notion of dressing up by not braiding hair by 1 Timothy 2:9; and the meaning of costly attire in the context of 1 Timothy 2:9. This research is divided into two main parts, namely research in theory and field research. The result of the theoretical research is, the notion of dressing up appropriately on the basis of 1 Timothy 2: 9 has the meaning that women will wear clothing that does not invite sexual desire to those who look at it, and will also wear conservative attire. The notion of dressing up modestly according to 1 Timothy 2: 9 is that women will dress themselves respectfully, thus will not wear impolite clothing one of them is a narrow garment that will show body parts. The notion of dressing with no braids based on 1 Timothy 2: 9 is that women will not be busy spending time just to decorate their hair, and will not show any striking hairstyles. The notion of the meaning of expensive clothing in the context of 1 Timothy 2: 9 is a garment bought with a personal motive to boast. In the field research, the results of the respondents provided information that all statements contained in the questionnaire (P1-P18) were well understood except for P18 where the respondents were still in doubt or neutral.
