EFEK BAKTERI PROBIOTIK Lactobocillus protectus dan Bifidobacterium breve M-16 V DALAM SUSU BUBUK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Shigella dysenteriae PADA MENCIT (Mus musculus)
XMLDigestive disease that commonly happens is dysentery lhat can cause diarrheo- Among many bqcterias thol act as pathogenic bacteria, there are also found bacteria lhol act as anlibdcteiol, these bacterias known as probiotics. The purpose oJ this research is lo baw the ability ofprobiotics bocteria (L. protectus attl B. breve M-16 V/ as anlibacteria! against S. dysenteriae in mice ( /,us musculus,). This research slarted by giving probiotics L. protectus and B. brcve M-16 Y for seven days in a row to the animals, afier they were gtven S. dysenteriae bacleria' fotlowed by taking the sample from the animals'feces on the fd, 5' and f doy to checked the number of bacteria S. dysenteriae. ANOVA was used to analyze the data. It was found thot there is no significanl difference between L. protectus and B. breve M-16 V in decreasing the growth a/ S. dysenteriae, H6(1) is accepted. Giving probiotics L. protectus and B. breve M-16 V daily significantly resuh in decreasing the growth o/S. dysenteriae where the amounl of F,o,11is larger lhan Fbbb, with 99/6 significanr level, Hs(2) is rejected. Another resull is that there is interaction between probiotics bacleria and the duration of using probiotics in decreasing the growth of S. dysenteriae in feces, where the amount of Fo.,a is larger llun Fau wilh 9996 significant level, H{j) is rejected.
