AIISTRACT The title of this paper is, 'AN ANALYSIS ON SPEAKING PEREORMANCE A].IONG THE THIRD YEAR ENGLISH MAJOR STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA-. The method used in this study in order to answer the question under the study The speaking is a descriptive me thod. capability and purpose of this study is to find out the third year Indonesia. English major The data are gained by The subjects of this study are 13 major Education Department. Based on the data anafysis, the i- r performance among the students at Universi-tas Advent using a quesLionnaire. students' of EngI i sh it is found that the third year english major students hawe developing their speaking performance; the answers through the questionnaires. The writer, therefore, recommends of the major English students' interest of the English language as their second a l-ow interest in it is shown on in the increa s ing on the speaking language and as Indonesia j-n alI classes, and other extra-curricular their medium of comnunication at Universitas Advent programs and activities so that they can express themselves and devel-op their speaking performance.
