PERSEPSI KEPUASAN PENGGUNA DENGAN EKSISTENSI DAN PELAYANAN PERPUSTAKAAN UNAI ( Suatu survey staf pengajar, staf dan para mahasiswa di Universitas Advent Indonesia)
XMLUSER SATISFACTION WITH TI{E EKSTENCE AND SERYICES OFFERED BY UNAI LIBRARY (A survey given to the faculty, staffand students of Universitas Advent Indonesia) Anne Lou Mariano - Hendriks NIM: 0734002 ABSTRACT This study evaluates the degree of satisfaction vith the sereices Universitas Advent Indonesia (,NAI) Library ofers to its clienrs, and how the services can be improved. Questions focused on the resources, services and staff on the library depa ment; the availabilrty of materials; facilities and equipments. Demographic data were also collected Respondents were also asked to state any specific library service that needs improvements and also made suggestions on how could these services be improved The data analysis itoolved descripive method No names were attached to the questiowaires for confidentiality purpose. The sample population was 145 ythich composed of present faculty, staff and students of Universitas Advent Indonesia. This population who hove stayed at WAI for at least sir. months While the application of this study is essential and relevant primarily for WAI, it can be used as a basis for further research in other school libraries. The mean ratrng for the Library Services ranged from snongly disagree to a strongly agree rate on a S-poinl Likert Scale. The senices with the highest level of satisfaction as perceived by the users were questions numbers 12 and 8 of the questionnaires -workers' politeness and workers' willingness to help. Both got a percentage of 88%. Library service vith the lowest level of satisfaction was question mmber 17 - Workers who are aware of the needs of the users. Out of the 22 services, 8 of it were on the strongly agree range which has the verbal interpretation of very satisfied the satisfaction level of the rest of the services (14) was in the agree range with the verbal intetpretation satisfied. Findings of the research reveal that UNAI Library still has to fnd ways to better satisly its users. Further research on this topic should include other services at WAl.
