ABSTRACT THE THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE REQUIREMENT REGARDING THE PERSON CONDITION CAN BE BAPTIZED BASED ON THE ACTS 8:12, 36 – 38 AT THE ONONAMOLO ALASA CONGREGATION ANDY BEBY CARDINAL ZALUKHU NIM: 1311003 The author examines the condition of a person that can be baptized, “an effective method to convincing a candidate to be baptized”. This study is devoted only to the Onomamolo Alasa congregation because the congregation has different understanding about baptism. The author examinesthis study with two indicators; 1. Biblical condition for a person that possible to be baptized. 2. An effective method of convincing a candidate to be baptized. The research has been divided the research into two parts, theory and field research. The results of theoretical research about the Biblical requirement, the researcher have found six conditions: 1) Study the Bible, 2) Believe on the gospel, 3) Repentance, 4) Understand the meaning of baptism, 5) Being mature in spirit, 6) Self-eagerness. Whereas the results of effective method theories about how to convinced baptism candidates have found in two ways: first, by the human effort and second, by the holy spirit effort. The human being can be assured with the following way: proclaim the truth. The apostles became the examples of the practice of the truth, the true congregation, persevere in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, the united of the believers, persevere and one-hearted. The holy spirit effort are: conviction, gives courage, stay at the heart of man, gives wisdom, softens the hard heart and last holy spirit is interesting and convincing. The field research the researcher have been divided into three groups of statements: 1. Biblical conditions for a person that possible to be baptized, 2. The human method of how to convince the candidate, 3. The effort of the holy spirit to convince the candidate. The results of the field study have been concluded through the questionnaire that distributed to the Ononamolo Alasa congregation found out that the average respondent understood well the biblical conditions of a person to be baptized based on Acts 8:12, 36 – 38 but there are some statements that the Ononamolo Alasa congregation is not really clear P5 (mature in thinking, with the value of 2.54), P6 (self-eagerness, with a value 2.77), P16 (the holy spirit gives wisdom, with a value of 3.32) indicate that the respondent was hesitate about the statements.
