IMPACT OF FLASH CARDS ON LEARNERS PERORMANCE IN SPELLING ENHANCEMENT AT SDN 2 PARONGPONG, BANDUNG BARAT

ABSTRACT This study is entitled ' knpact of Flash Cards on kamers' Performance in Spelling Enhancement." The participant involved in rhis study werc 46 students of SDN 2 Cihanjuang Parongrong, Bandung Barat. They were devided iLto t*o g-uprt conhol and exp€rimental, with 23 shrdenS in each. This study involved three activities: Pre-test treatment (using the flash cards) for experimental grcup and posttest. The participants were asked to write spelling in pre-test and post-tesl During the implementation, the participants were taught spelling by using different method for each grory. The result of this study showed the meatr of prc-test for contol goup is 46.5 and the mean of post-test is 60.7. The mean of pre-test for experimental group is 37.3 and the mean ofpost-test is 67.1. Statisticsl analysis ofthis shrdy showed that students who were given flash cards in experimental group get hinger score compered to those in control, using c : 0.05. Thereforc, this study concluded that the using flash cards is be effective to help students to imnrove their spelling. Key Words : Flash Cards ; Spelling
