AN ANALYSIS ON THE VERB TO BE IN PROGRESSIVE ACTIVITY ON BUSINESS STUDENTS TAKING ENGLISH VI AT UNIVERSITY ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT so that the data could be sorted out and classified This research entitled "An analysis on the verb to be 1n progresslve activity on the business students taking English VI at Universitas Advent lndonesia". The research was conducted to ansrrer: (1) How weII the Engrish business students taking English VI could understand to put the verb to be in progressive tense, and (2) What are the problems of the students taking EngLish VI ln understanding the uses of the verb to be when put in a sentence. The data were collected through questionnaire and written test. AII the data were analyzed and categorized, ! according to their relevancy to answer the research problem. The data found that trough questionnaire that there were onl-y 11141 .B2Z) respondent with high Ievel, ? (30.43?) with Eediocre level, 5 (21 .738) respondents with Iow level . f I Erom the questj.onnaire she drew concfusj-ons: There were 438 of the respondenis said learnj-ng the to be -?as confusing, and 57% of the respondents said that learning t-l1e verb to be was not canf usrri.
