AN ANALYSIS OF CAPABILITY ON FOLLOWING ORAL INSTRUCTION (A Study Done in English II for Theology Class)
XMLABS TRACT As we have recognized that Language as a mean of corrnunication bridging the speaker anC the hearer of conversing meaning and instruction, it cannot be denied that there are some factors that affect the students 1n has found that according to linguists there are many factors which can inffuence this capabifity. So the writer took three factors to limit her problems. They capabi I i ty are following oral instrucrion. The writer a)vocabulary, b)conceDtration, and c)se1f confidence. Erom her research which she did in with questionnaire and descriptive method and were conducted 111 English II for Theology class the r,Jriter found out that vocabulary has 30i, concentration 26.67't., and seff confidence 24.71'z influence. These factors are related to one another. Eor example, when the writer: instructed them to nod thelr head, out of 40 students, there are only 2 who could follow the instructlon. Even though they have concentratecl fully on the teacher's lnstruction, they stiIl could not foliow the rnstruction because they did not knoln the meaning of the word "nod". They could not follow the instruction because there is a word which they have never: heard or learned before. And from the result of the test the writer found out that there are 40'?, students with high capabilrty, 25? with mediocre capability,20t with low capability, and 152 with very 1ow capability.
