The fifth faw of God comrnandments are based on the Bible in Exodus 20:12 which is: "Honor your father and your mother. so that you may live long rn the land the i,o^n yorl. God is giving you" ' The word "Honor" this 1s sometiring we might call the "virtue" ' And that is our God's cornmand that we have to do and as a way to be a good man . The purpose is so that parents may obtain the Iove and resplct- beyond t^Ihat can be expressed to others because God hi-mself has put their responsibility upon their shoulder. It is God who gives that special honor' But the foundations of the famify, church and society' has been steady since the deviation of the values and practices, and norms are being attacked from a1l Lirections. And in my experience as a pastor for 16 years of service, I have seen such events started to -uff..t the families. Their children have Iost their respect to thej-r Parents ' The comprehension as a parent and child to the quality of the iifth t., enforcement based on Exodus 20:72 Lo five-member church environment, involwing 130 respondents in the Seventh-day Adventlst Church oisirict of Centra] Sumatra Mission ' has been studied thoroughlY.
