Eamity is the firsl, and main place to comprehend and apply God's teachingElrst, Deuteronomy 6 : 4-5 , is theological foundation of spiritual teachrng for children in the family- Verse 4 . known as Israel Shema, is a sunmary of faith confession of r-he Jelvs which should be spoken everyday- Israel Shema is often called as fundamental tr:uth and task of Israelis, it's stated by God. the Almighty (verse 4). Fundamental task is compassion response demanded by God of Israef (verse 5) Loving God is the most basic thrng- Parents should have it. Irrstitution can't do it. Anytime, anywhere, lnside or outslde horne, spiritual teaching must be given over and over. Respondents were surveyed by the auLhors are menbers of the congregation Seventh-day Advent.ist Church district III Surabaya consisting of 6 congregation. The author takes a sample of about 30% of the 381 members of the congregatlon is 115. Erom the analysis has been done, the respondents were highest statement number 3, grades or scores on the statement which is 4.55. This means that on average the respondents belleve that the family .is the first and foremost place in educating children. Whj-1e the fowest average of the respondents are in question No. I which is equal to 3.3652. Thls means that the average respondent believes deficiency in conduct morning and evening worship together with the family every day regularly - There are 3 essentiaf elements concerning with the way to corununicate God's teaching to children effectively: Eirstly, parents understand God's commands and love God (Deuteronomy 6:4-6) - They put God's tove deeply in their hearts, mind and rea.lize j-t in their behaviour. Growing faith must be evldent in parents life.
