ABSTRACT UNDERSTANDING OF GLORIFYING GOD WITH BODY ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH FOODS BASED ON I CORINTHIANS 10:31 AT ZHEN LI SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH IN JAKARTA Hermina NIM : 1211019 This thesis research was carried out in the Zhen Li Seventh-day Adventists Church in Jakarta . It is known that the church has been declaring healthy meals to all members for many years. But somehow some members are found still non-vegetarian. Therefore, the purpose of this study was for the members to understand meaning of glorifying God, meaning of glorifying God with body, and meaning of glorifying God its relationship with foods. This study is divided into two parts, which are theoritical and statisticall research. The theory study purpose was to give better understanding through the literature study of “meaning of glorifying God, meaning of glorifying God with body, and meaning of glorifying God its relationship with foods.” While the statisticall research was done by distributing questionnaires in order to measure the members understanding of the three indicators: (1) Meaning of glorifying God; (2) Meaning of glorifying God with body; and (3) Meaning of glorifying God its relationship with foods. And through the answers gathered from 40 respondents, it is found that they understand all statement stated as indicators. However, there is still lack of understanding indicated. Thus the results of this study are in particularly expected to support and strengthen the understanding Zhen Li Seventh-day Adventists Church members. In general, this research is also expected to be useful for all Christians in Indonesia. Keywords : Glorify God, Body, Food .
