PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN FORMAL, PELATIHAN DAN PENGALAMAN MENGAJAR TERHADAP PROFESIONALISME GURU DI SEKOLAH LANJUTAN ADVENT SE JAWA BARAT

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF FORMAL EDUCATION AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE ON THEACHER’S PROFESSIONEALISM AT ADVENT ANDVANCED SCHOOL IN WEST JAVA Beni Chandra Purba, 1434029, Postgraduate Program, Master of Management, Universitas Advent Indonesia, 2017. The aims of this research are to determine: 1). does formal education affect the teacher’s professionalism at Advent Advanced School in West Java? 2). Does training affect the teacher’s professionalism at the Advent Advanced School in West Java? 3). Does the teaching experience affect teacher’s professionalism at Advent Advanced School in West Java? 4). Do training education and teaching experience affect the professionalism of teachers at the Advent Advanced School in West Java? This is an explanatory research which conclusions were obtained based on the results of statistical analysis. The population in this research was all teachers at Advent Advanced School in West Java, who were 99 teachers, and all of them were respondents. The data was collected by questionnaire and documentation method. Previously, the questionnaires had been tested with validity and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques used to test the hypothesis was multiple linear regression analysis, t test and F test. Regression analysis results showed regression equation Y = 20.286 + 0.151 X1 + 0.241 X2 + 0.243 X3 meaning that teacher’s professionalism was affected by education, training and teaching experience. The conclusions showed that: 1). partially, formal education did not provide significant effect on the teacher's professionalism. Based on t test result, it was obtained t count < t table, which was 1.382 <1.669 (α = 5%) and significance value > 0.05 that was 0.172. 2). Partially, teaching experience provided significant effect on teacher's professionalism. Based on t test, it obtained t count > t table or 2.579 > 1.669 and significance value <0.05, that was 0.012. 3). Partially, teaching experience provided significant effect on teacher's professionalism. Based on t test result, it was obtained t count > t table or 2.462 > 1.669 and significance value < 0.05 that was 0,017. 4). Formal education, training and teaching experience affected teacher professionalism. This was based on F test result, it was obtained that F count > F table or 18.303 > 2.75 and significance value <0.05 that was 0.000. 5). Formal education, training, teaching experience variables provided effective contribution of 1.51%, 2.41%, 2.43% respectively. Therefore, total effective contribution was 6.35%, so it can be drawn up a conclusion that teaching experience was more dominant in affecting teacher's professionalism. 6). The result of determination coefficient test (R2) of 0.470 indicated that the effect of formal education, training and teaching experience on teacher professionalism was 47% while 53% was affected by other variables.
