ABSTRACT EFFICAY CINNAMON (Cinnamomum BURMANNII) IN PRESSING POSTPRANDIAL HYPERGLYCEMIA CONSUMED AFTER GLUCOSE INTAKE OF GLUCOSE IN TYPE 2 DIABETES Matius Raymond Sakul NIM: 1341005 Diabetes has become a deadly disease in the world and Indonesia. The need for the development of traditional medicine such as Cinnamomum BURMANNII, due to the high cost of Diabetes treatment. Cinnamon contains an active compound of polyphenol methyl hydrosy chalcone polymer or MHCP which can trigger and work synergistically with insulin cells suppress hyperglycemic. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of cinnamon powder on decreasing fasting blood glucose levels. This study requires 60 people with diabetes. With glucose intake 75 gr glucose powder and 6 gr of cinnamon powder in capsule. Postprandial blood glucose was measured at time points 30, 60, 90, and 120 min posttreatment. Subjects' anthropometry data consisted of 16.67% of men and 83.3% of women; 60% ± 8.98 average age; 149.87 cm ± 26.97 mean height; 57.49 kg ± 9.46 average body weight; 50.89 years ± 8.62 average age when starting diabetes; 7.32 years ± 6.2 average duration of diabetes, the anthropometry data showed that the study participants were diabetic; Average blood pressure 128/60; And an average heart rate break of 58.5 seconds ± 26.13.The use of the Independent Sample t-Test test showed that there was no significant effect on glucose control and treatment. Comparison was done at minute point 0, 30, 60, 90, and 120. Then we got the result of comparison from spss at minute 0 = (0,411); 30 = (0.821); 60 = (0,523); 90 = (0.390); 120 = (0.277).
