ABSTRACT IMPROVEMENT OF STUDENT’S MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS THROUGH COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODELS OF ING NGARSA SUNG TULADHA AND SNOWBALL THROWING EAGERNESS SIHOMBING NIM: 1522002 This research is motivated by students' mathematical problem solving ability which is not yet high. The mathematical problem solving ability is very important to be improved because it is the heart of mathematics and one of the standard mathematical abilities which must be owned by students. This research is a comparative design aimed at analyzing whether the increase in the mathematical problem solving ability of students who get Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha's cooperative learning model is better than students who obtain the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model. The sample in this study were students in two classes VIII in Cimahi State Middle School. Grade VIIIH students obtained the cooperative learning model Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha and VIIIB class students who obtained the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model. The instrument used in this study is a description question to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The results showed that the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtained the Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model and students who received Snowball Throwing cooperative learning included in the high qualifications. The average gain value of students who obtained the Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model was higher than the average gain value of students who received Snowball Throwing cooperative learning. So it can be concluded that an increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who get Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha's cooperative learning model is better than students who get the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model.
