ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP OF FAMILY SUPPORT TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS THERAPY Sriance Conny NIM: 1651036 Hemodialysis is a kidney replacement therapy for patients with chronic kidney failure. During therapy, the patient can lose his freedom of life because the patient has restrictions or rules that need to be considered in order not to worsen the patient's condition. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there was a relationship of family support to the quality of life of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Rumah Sakit Advent Bandar Lampung. Using the descriptive correlation which aims to get a picture of the relationship of family support with high quality of hemodialysis patients. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling with 127 respondents. Criteria for respondents were hemodialysis patients at Advent Hospital in Bandar Lampung. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate methods. Based on statistical test results, most respondents or 107 people (84.3%) received good family support, and 20 respondents received sufficient family support. While 126 respondents (99.2%) had a good quality of life and 1 respondent (0.8%) had a poor quality of life. From the results of this study it can be concluded that family support is needed to maintain the quality of life of hemodialysis patients remains good. People who live in an environment that is full of love, attention and motivation, their health condition will be far better than a brand that does not have that environment.
