ABSTRACT LITERATURE REVIEW: The Effect of Social Interaction on the Quality of Life of the Elderly Arranged by: Kristina Enjelina Sirait 1651025 The elderly population globally continues to increase. Along with the increasing number of elderly, many problems will be experienced by the elderly such as psychological disorders, pathological disorders in physical conditions, access to health services that are difficult to obtain and reduced social support obtained from family or friends. One factor that affects the quality of life of the elderly is social interaction. This literature study aims to determine whether or not the influence of social interaction on the quality of life of the elderly. The method of literature study is done through searching publications articles on Google scholar, PubMed with keywords Social interaction, quality of life, and the elderly. Literature search from the 2015-2020 issue. The search results obtained 6 studies that meet the criteria for later review. In this literature study, it was found that research that has been published for the past 5 years shows that there is an influence of social interaction on the quality of life of the elderly.
