ABSTRACT “ NURSING CARE IN NY.P: SHORTNESS OF BREATH WITH THE PROVISION OF DEEP DIAFRAGMATIC BREATHING IN CASES OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA” Arranged by: AYU SUYANA SIJABAT 1953029 Bronchial Ashtma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airway that is characterized by total or partial airway obstruction (Udin, 2019). Ashtma is very influential in disability and early death. Asthma is currently referred to in the 3 biggest diseases that cause disabilities in West Java Province. Kementrian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia (2019), reported the number cases of asthma in the province of West Java inpatient was 5.826 and outpatient was 369.108 cases. Writing of scientific papers is done to report the implementation of nursing care in Ny.P: shortness of breath with deep diafragmatic in cases of bronchial ashtma. Writing is done by descriptive method in the form of case reports by collecting data through observations, interviews, documentation studied and literature studies. The results of the study found that patients complained of shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, coughing up phlegm, and fatigue easily during activities due to shortness experienced. The patient has a history of asthma from birth and the patient is allergic to cold weather and dust. At the time of tightness recur, the patient uses his inhaler, namely the serotide inhaler. Shortness is reduced only slightly, then relapse again. Nursing diagnoses taken are ineffective airway clearance, ineffective breathing pattern and activity intolerance. Interventions are arranged and provided through nursing implementation. Evaluation results after the exercise of 1 x1 days for 10 minutes with a frequency of time in 3 consecutive days, found the results of initial oxygen saturation of 89% to 96% and respiration rate from 24 x/minute to 21 x/minute, so that patients appear calm and comfortable.
