ABSTRAK COMPARISON OF THE CALCIUM ACETATE AMOUNT MADE FROM RAW EGG RAW MATERIAL AND CONCH Menti Hasibuan NIM 1541017 The conch shell and the eggshell are community waste that is managed into calcium acetate which can be beneficial in the health sector. By utilizing conch shells and egg shells for the manufacture of calcium acetate it is expected to reduce waste or rubbish contained in the community environment. The process of making calcium acetate from eggshells and conch shells is by mixing 300 mL acetic acid. Stirring occasionally and allowed to stand for 18 hours then filtered using filter paper filter results are dried under a spotlight with a temperature of 100OC. So that it will get a white powder that is tangible. From the results of research that has been done calcium acetate from 100 grams obtained by snail shells obtained 4.2% and calcium acetate from egg shells as much as 100 grams obtained 15%.
