ABSTRACT PROFESSIONAL NURSING STUDENT’S LEVEL OF ANXIETY IN FACING FINAL SCIENTIFIC PAPER PRESENTATION AT INDONESIAN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY Deni Laga 1851065 Anxiety is a natural human response to stressors and can be experienced by everyone. The writing of this scientific paper is evidenced by the results of interviews with 10 professional nursing students who experience anxiety in facing the final scientific paper (FSP) presentation. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of professional nursing students in facing the final scientific paper presentation at Indonesian Adventist University. The design of the study is a cross-sectional study with total sample of 48 students. The instrument for measuring anxiety is the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A). The results found that the professional nursing stident’s level of anxiety in facing the FSP presentation was in the category of moderate anxiety; the most dominant symptom displayed by students was a feeling of anxiety, and the less dominant symptom displayed was fear. The findings in this study are expected to be the basis for counseling for students preparinf for the FSP presentation, and further research is suggested on the level of anxiety of nursing students facing the nursing skills clinical test.
