ABSTRACT NURSING CARE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM DISORDERS: ACUTE GASTROENTERITIS IN BANDUNG ADVENT HOSPITAL Arranged by: Sadrak Nabil Ambadar 1752014 Background: Acute gastroenteritis is the occurrence of bowel movements more than 3 times in 24 hours, with a more fluid consistency than usual, Gastroenteritis is caused by infection with microorganisms and transmission occurs fecal-oral. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (2019) states, cases of gastroenteritis amount to 7,265,013 people. Gastroenteritis is a disease that is still so common that it needs to be reviewed. Objective: know the differences in surgical medical nursing care in patients with digestive system disorders: acute gastroenteritis includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation and documentation. Method: Data collection process approach to the subject with the discussion of the main research aims to explore a clear picture of the nursing care problems of acute gastroenteritis patients. Nursing care case study design includes assessment, nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation to patients. Results: assessment found patients experiencing acute gastroenteritis. Diagnoses appearing in patients are lack of fluid volume related to fluid loss, nausea, vomiting related to gastric irritation, acute pain associated with hyperperistaltic, diarrhea related to infectious causes, nutritional imbalance less than body needs related to appetite, risk of hypovolemic shock related to fluid and electrolyte loss, activity intolerance related to activity needs, anxiety related to lack of knowledge. Conclusion: Acute gastroenteritis is a condition of defecation more than 3 times a day with a liquid constitution that can be accompanied or without accompanied by mucus and blood as a result of the inflammatory process in the stomach and intestines. This infection requires medical treatment if it has been prolonged defecation occurs more than 3 times a day with liquid consistency.
