ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF THE CAPITAL STRUCTURE ON FIRM VALUE OF MINING SECTOR COMPANIES LISTED ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE (IDX) Written by: Retina Puspita Aritonang NIM: 1632190 This study aims to determine the effect of capital structur on firm value of mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The research variables were Capital Structure and Firm Value. The data used were secondary data from the financial statements. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The analysis were descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient analysis, significance test, the coefficient determination, and simple regression analysis. The population used in this study is the company financial statements and samples are the companies listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia in Mining Sector companies. Based on the results of statistical analysis conducted by the writer that capital structure did not have significant effect on firm value as seen on Sig. 0.362 > 0.05. It means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Keywords : Capital Structure, Firm Value, Annual Report
