Using the newspaper as a medium of learning English is a unique way to stimulate students interest in reading, since students at this age is a students who has dropped their interest in reading. Therefore, the researches decided to use the newspaper as a medium to build students vocabulary. Researcher chose participant in the study of class XB and XE in SMK 45 I Lembang. The school gave these two classes as the sample, because believe that each class has the cognitive abilities and knowledge that are relatively equal.
