ABSTRACT DESIGN OF DORMITORY ABSENTEEISM WARNING SYSTEM USING WHATSAPP Edrick Christian Warasiwa NIM: 1981035 The influence of technology, information and communication in daily life is inseparable, all agencies need technology. Adventist University of Indonesia (UNAI) is a university that provides housing for students from outside the area that does not allow students to live together with parents. With the progress of WhatsApp technology, especially in the telecommunications sector, the objectives of this study are: (1) The purpose of designing the WhatsApp information system to facilitate the delivery of absentee information to parents of students whose children live in dormitories during lectures at the Adventist University of Indonesia (UNAI) (2) With the existence of this system, paper can be used efficiently for the production of report letters (3) Eliminating distance constraints in the delivery of information. From the research that has been done, the authors conclude that: (1) Boarding time attendance warning system using WhatsApp provides convenience to the Head of the Dormitory in conveying student attendance information to student parents. (2) This system provides convenience in conveying large amounts of information at the same time.
