ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE MILLENIAL GENERATION OF BANDUNG ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA CHURCH MEMBERS IN EVANGELISM BASED ON 1 TIMOTHY 4:12 Name of Researcher : Ortega Sinaga Degree : Master of Philosophy (M.Fil) Advisor : Pdt. Date of completion : August 2019 In the Church, there are young people who have different potentials and gifts, including young people of the millennials. Every young millennial person can take part in the growth of the church through ministry and evangelism in the church according to their respective talents or gifts so that their spirituality continues to increase (1 Corinthians 12:28). Young people, especially the millennials are also responsible for doing the Great commission and this is not just the work of pastors, church elders, and evangelists. Apostle Paul gave an extraordinary message to Timothy, so that Timothy would not let himself be humiliated by anyone because he was young. The purpose of this research first is: to understand the concept of evangelism in 1 Timothy 4:12, secondly to find out the reasons why the millennials in UNAI, Bandung Seventh-day Adventist Church are less involved in evangelism, thirdly to help the millennial of UNAI, Bandung SDA Church members to be active in ministry and evangelism. The conclusions that can be given are as follows, the first that the level of understanding of the young people of UNAI, Bandung. SDA Church about the concept of evangelism based on 1 Timothy 4:12 is 3.28. Meaning the understanding of young people of UNAI, Bandung SDA Church member about evangelism is in doubt, thus researchers also believe that participating in sharing the gospel can increase the growth of the Faith. Second, the reason of the millennial church of UNAI, Bandung Church members was less involved in evangelism by 3.79. the Millennials are involved in evangelism very well to foster their interest in evangelizing, the outcome of which is agreement. Third, how to increase the involvement of millennials in evangelism by 3.24. The results obtained are doubtful, young people believe that millennial involvement in evangelism really needs to be increased to attract their desire to evangelize.
