PURWADHIKA KIRANA NUSANTARA Jesica Erica Stephany Wuisan 1833016 The role of secretary has a very important tasks in the activities both in the company and in government office. The role of the secretary can determine the success or failure of the objectives of the company, especially in the field of information both verbally and in writing. One of the information needed by the company is through the archive. Most archives are stored not in accordance with the filing system that has been established, so the secretary in her role as a secretary can help leaders in the search or discovery of information needed through documents that have been stored. The purpose of this research is to outlining the role of the secretary in handling records in the business department at PT. Purwadhika Kirana Nusantara. The process of archiving is done by the researcher during job training is to namely, collecting all documents to be archived, one of which is a Purchase Order (PO) where the documents are sourced from all existing departments, then check one by one and sorted according to department, year, month, date, and PO number that has been listed. Then it can be stored neatly and precisely in the place provided, so that if at any time can be needed then the rediscovery will be easier and faster.
