THE ROLE OF THE SECRETARY IN HANDLING SALESORDERIN PT. INDO SAKURA INDAH Novita Leowardy 1733013 This study aims to determine how the role of the secretary in handling sales orders at PT Indo Sakura Indah. PT Indo Sakura Indah is a manufacturing company that produces PVC Sheet, PVC Flooring and PVC Leather. Furthermore, the method used is a direct work practice method where the author observes and executes directly how the process of handling the order, including: making PO (Purchase Order), making SO (Sales Order), taking stock data from the warehouse via e-mail, inform stock of goods to the marketing department, make a list of goods, make data collection through an accurate system, make travel documents, archive and input data of goods out, concurrently the price of goods sold, concurrent delivery documents, make outstanding goods out and incoming goods which will then given to accounting. The problems that the authors found in the process of handling the order include: Production activities that are not on time and often the price changes in a short time. In conclusion, the authors conclude that the role of the secretary at PT. Indo Sakura Indah makes a list of goods sold and inputs the stock of goods received from the warehouse and makes a travel document consisting of five copies in accordance with the company system. Furthermore, the authors provide advice to maintain volatile price stability in the current year, the company forms a division under sub-Finance in collaboration between the Production Planning Inventory Control Department and the finance department that analyzes the production process from upstream to downstream, and establishes a list of documented finished goods prices by the secretary as a list of lists used by related parties.
