ABSTRACT THE ROLE OF THE SECRETARY IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF ARCHIVES IN THE GENERAL AFFAIR DEPARTMENT OF PT SOLUSI BANGUN INDONESIA TBK, CILACAP FACTORY Sabattati Arum Sukemi 1733009 The secretary has an important role in a company. She must help the management to complete the work quickly and precisely, especially in the field of administration so that office activities can run well. Likewise with the role of the secretary at PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia, especially in the General Affairs department. Writing this Scientific Papers aims to determine the role of the secretary in general in the General Affairs department at PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia and how the process of incoming mail archiving and what problems occur during archiving letters. In accordance with the author's observations during carrying out fieldwork practices, the secretary must be able to handle incoming letters, distribute the letter to the destination and store it well so that when needed the letter can be found again easily. The method used by the author in compiling this Scientific Writing is a practice of field work for 400 hours with a period of approximately 3 (three) months according to Universitas Advent Indonesia standards. During carrying out fieldwork practices, the authors complete the work guided by Mr Kusdiharta, Mr Dhimas and Mrs Eny. From the results of this study, the authors conclude that a secretary is needed to assist leaders and other employees in completing office work. The author also found problem that occurred in the General Affairs department. The problem was filing letters is not immediately carried out so that there was a buildup of letters. From these conclusions, the authors suggest that archiving of incoming mails can be done every day to avoid the accumulation of incoming mails.
