ABSRACT THE IMPACT OF LECTURER COMPETENCE AND LECTURER PERFORMANCE IN FACULTY PHILOSOPHY SCIENCE TO STUDENT SATISFACTION INDONESIA ADVENT UNIVERSITY Written by: Raden Zabta Suksma Putra ID: 1934011 The quality of educational institutions depends on the components in the higher education system, one of the components that requires teachers, lecturers are key in providing services to students in administrative, technical or non-technical issues to support teaching and learning activities in improving quality of education output. This study aims to determine the effect of lecturer competence and lecturer performance at the Faculty of Philosophy on student satisfaction at Adventist University of Indonesia. The study was conducted at the Adventist University of Bandung in February-March 2020. This study used a descriptive method, and using purposive sampling techniques in collecting samples, this study involved 207 students. The instruments used were lecturer competency questionnaire, lecturer performance and student satisfaction which were then processed using SPSS version 21. The results showed that the competence of the Faculty of Philosophy lecturers was in the competent category, the performance of lecturers in the good category and student satisfaction with the services provided by the lecturers were in the satisfied category. There is no influence of modulator variables (gender, religion, level and faculty) on lecturer competence, lecturer performance and student satisfaction. There is an influence between the competence of lecturers on student satisfaction with a t value of 5.412 5, t table (1.971) and a sig value of 0.000. It was found that there was an influence between lecturer performance and student satisfaction with a t value of 3.553 ≥ t table (1,971) and a sig value of 0,000. Lecturer competence and lecturer performance have a direct positive effect on student satisfaction with an R Square value of 0.413. Every increase of one unit of lecturer competence will increase student satisfaction by 48.7% and each increase of one unit of lecturer performance will increase 53.1% student satisfaction.
